About Christian Williams

Christian WilliamsChristian Williams is a native to the Washington DC metro area. He attended college at Virginia Commonwealth University and received a BFA from their prestigious Communication Arts Department. While his main focus was on the emerging technologies of Interactive media, he also studied Typography and Graphic Design under renowned designers, Philip B. Meggs and Rob Carter. Throughout the late 80's and 90's Christian worked as a Graphic Designer and Art Director for various prominent agencies in the DC area. Christian worked with a development team to design the first user database driven grassroots web technology and the first Internet-to-phone gateway to Congress.

He also worked with LM&O Advertising to develop a recruitment website and Intranet for the Army National Guard. Christian served as Art Director over the website for Pharmacia Corp., which was a merger of Pharmacia & Upjohn and Monsanto Company. In 2000 Christian decided to leave the traditional workplace to focus on a career as a freelance designer. Since then, he has designed and developed websites, logo's, graphics and print materials for a wide array of companies ranging from small business' to large corporations.

Over the past 10 years Christian has also traveled extensively in order to study and photograph ancient master works. He visited Trinity University in Dublin to analyze ancient typography in the Book of Kells. He also traveled to Mexico to examine the art and architecture of the ancient Maya. Christians dictum: Good design is invisible.
