Verizon UM150 and Windows 7 x64 |

I am posting this article hoping that I can save someone else time from going nuts trying to install a Verizon Wireless Pantech UM150 device on Windows 7 x64 edition. The suggested download from the Verizon Wireless website DOES work, but they do not fully detail what is entailed in getting the device to work. The drivers that you need are in the C:Program Files (x86)Verizon WirelessVZAccess ManagerDriversUM150 directory, you will find a program called Setup.exe. Right click on the Setup.exe and go into it's properties, click on the Compatibility tab, and set the program compatibility to Windows Vista. Apply, close the tabs, and make sure you unplug the modem before running Setup.exe and then when Setup has finished, just stick in your modem. You should be good now.
